About me and the practice that I can offer

I’m Laura Eardley founder of Revive Therapy and an integrative therapist.

As an integrative therapist I blend different therapeutic approaches and techniques to cater to each individual’s needs. Rather than subscribing to a single method, I draw on a variety of therapeutic frameworks, such as psychodynamic, cognitive behavioural, humanistic, and others. This eclectic approach allows me to address unique aspects of a client’s issues and adapt strategies as therapy progresses.

I hold a diploma in counselling and psychotherapy, and I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I have experience in working with clients from diverse backgrounds and with various issues, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship problems, self-esteem, and more.

Personally in my career I have navigated the complexities of a high-pressure corporate environment for over twenty years, I understand the intricate balance required to manage both a thriving career and a fulfilling family life and the stressors this can have on your mental health, where self care and well-being are frequently neglected.

Dealing with relational and emotional difficulties has been a profound part of my journey.  My own experiences with these challenges have deeply informed my approach to therapy. This journey has taught me the importance of carving out time to reflect on one's own identity and aspirations, despite the relentless demands of professional and personal responsibilities.

With a wealth of experience in the field of counselling, I specialise in supporting individual adults and couples through a broad range of challenges. My expertise encompasses areas such as divorce and relationship difficulties, complex family dynamics, and emotional well-being issues including anxiety, stress, depression, and anger. Additionally, I am adept at addressing the impacts of adverse childhood experiences, addiction, self-harm behaviours, and low self-esteem.  I am experienced in counselling for the LGBTQ+ community having counselled for an LGBTQ+ charity for almost 3 years, where a large portion of my work has been with transgender and non-binary.

My approach is compassionate and client-centred, aimed at fostering resilience and promoting mental health.

Based in West Bergholt, Colchester, I offer face-to-face, online and telephone therapy. Working with individuals and couples, offering short and long-term therapy.

Fees per session are £50 for individuals and £70 for couples. I also offer a sliding scale for low-income clients. I offer a free initial telephone consultation, where we can discuss your goals and expectations and see if we are a good fit for each other.
